Jensen (Jay) Boaz is involved with AIR because people need to know that they aren’t alone; that they’re okay, they’re whole as they are and they deserve help, love and respect. Too many people struggle with mental health disorders because of the stigma, shame and misinformation surrounding it, and Jay aims to help AIR fix that.
As AIR’s Minnesota Outreach Coordinator and a Midwest native, Jay is currently building and establishing AIR’s Minnesota branch. Being agender and of trans experience (pronouns: they/them), they have a unique perspective on communication that enables them to see people, regardless of body or background, as who they ultimately are: people.
Additionally, they are a published photographer and poet, a certified LGBT and sex peer educator, and a co-curator of the global feminism project Facing Feminism. They also live to please their cat, Kali.
