Since July, Attitudes in Reverse has been visiting the 50 residents of Artis Senior Living in Princeton Junction on a weekly basis.
“The importance of having a dog in memory care can be seen immediately,” said Sara Thompson, Director of Life Enrichment. “The moment a wagging tail walks through the door, smiles plaster on our residents’ faces. Having the ability to pet the dog, cuddle, & even play, brings back powerful memories. Those are the moments that are treasured. A dog truly does leave footprints on our hearts.”
AIR is grateful for our human and dog therapy teams who bring such joy to Artis: Joe Abode and Fiona, Karen Evanko Lauricella and Casey, Kathleen Bechtel and Cider, Andrea Conti and Apache, Eleanor Dock and Sonny, Kinga Kaminska and Lars, Joy Lindo and Willow, Philomena Menta and Hedwig, Anish Sheth and Mango, Marlene Sisti and Harley, and Harvey Walker and Brie.
