“I became involved with AIR® eight years ago when I brought my two-year-old Standard Poodle Lily to a training class to become a certified therapy dog. Tricia was the instructor. She passed out information about therapy dog work and also about AIR’s mission. I knew immediately that I wanted to work with AIR. Over the past eight years, it has been my privilege to assist in any area needed. I have devoted countless hours involved in activities from transporting shoes for the In Their Shoes® exhibit to helping to organize the Miki Walk.
“I’ve been able to witness first hand AIR’s unwavering commitment to saving lives as they speak about mental illness and suicide. AIR’s ability to connect with young people about these serious issues is nothing short of miraculous. I see how young people relate to the programs and, of course, the healing power of the dogs.
“I have been an insurance agent in NJ for the past 40 years. With a lifelong love of learning, I’ve been able to earn CPCU and CFP® designations.
“Prior to joining AIR, I spent 12 years volunteering as a Court Appointed Special Advocate with CASA of Mercer County, assisting young people as they navigated the foster care system.”
